Meeting of the Generations
The dominance of baby boomers is coming to an end. Most of them will retire in the next few years. They will be replaced by Generation Z (born in 1995 and later) and will be strongly media-related and "always on". And this has radical effects on the working world.
Equipped like this they expect structures with modern technologies in their future companies. The young people, digitally trained, use modern learning media and AI-supported language assistants and face in the companies deeply interlaced order structures in which they have to dig for information. A 90s nightmare and a paradox. In many cases, the digital reality in companies cannot keep up with the level of education and expectations of the new generation.
About searching and finding
To be honest: we can't get the search comfort that Google has been offering for many years out of our minds. Google is the benchmark for "search". Pre-configured in such a way, it is difficult in daily working life to cope with the fact that searches are still carried out as in the 90s: by exhausting clicking in folder structures. Yet it would be very useful if drives and document management systems (DMS) could be browsed via a user interface (UI).
