From 13-15 March 2018 Messe Stuttgart opened its doors and welcomed its guests from all over the world for LogiMAT -  this year for the 16th time. The international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management once again recorded significant growth in visitors, exhibitors and exhibition space this year, and has therefore established itself as an important venue for experts from all over the world. 55,300 trade visitors and 1564 exhibitors registered in the end and one of the exhibitors who contributed to this development were the experts from EDAG Production Solutions.

At our booth, interested visitors were able to find out how companies can implement logistics solutions at the highest level using targeted application of process simulation, simultaneous engineering and virtual commissioning with tight schedules and obtain professional information from EDAG PS' wide range of logistics services.

BRING YOUR PRODUCT - PICK YOUR SERVICE

Dr. Frank Breitenbach, Senior Expert Planning Methodology, was one of the colleagues who answered the questions of the visitors: "I like this kind of trade fair very much, because you never know who will visit our booth. From managers to warehouse supervisors, but also Business school and university students visited us again this year, with whom we had many interesting discussions.  But even more exciting is the variety of industrial sectors, as LogiMAT does not only address the automotive industry but also the "general industry".

This key message was also transmitted by the message on the graphic wall on the EDAG PS stand, because thanks to the many years of experience of the engineering experts it is possible for them to plan, develop and optimise the customer's production continuously, regardless of the product.

END-TO-END FACTORY PLANNING WITH ONE POINT OF CONTACT

"What makes us as EDAG PS different from the other suppliers is the end-to-end approach with which we support our customers in all steps of their factory planning. If required, we can also provide support in concept and detailed planning to the customer", according to our managing director Dirk Keller, who did not miss the opportunity to get his own impression of the exhibition. "At the same time, this approach to the end-to-end integration and alignment of the supply chain with value creation also applies to the planning of material and data streams," Keller continued.

DIGITAL - CROSS-LINKED - INNOVATIVE

The main theme of the trade fair reflected the concepts of EDAG PS. The integration of state-of-the-art technologies, for example in the thematic complex of the Digital Factory, is a key factor that ensures future viability on the road towards  factory of the future.
